September marks the New Generations Month for Rotary. It is during this month that we recognize and celebrate the Youth- the future of our community, our country and of Rotary. The celebration of the Youth is a celebration of life.
It is in this line that the Rotaract Club of NIIT Baguio Sunrise got together on the 13th day of September for a general meeting. Attended by the past officers of the club, the members and prospective members, it was a fusion of the old and the new RAC- NIIT. The Objectives, Plans and Programs for the Rotaract Year 2007- 2008 were presented by the Chairman for RAC- NIIT Director May Vilaga. It is the thrust of this year’s officers to recruit more members and develop the leadership qualities of the members in the Rotary way. Lined up for the year are trainings on Personality Development, Leadership, Team- building and Community Service. Proposed projects to be calendared by the Board of Directors include a Soup Kitchen, Tutorials and volunteer teaching, community exposure, fund- raising, and fellowships. These programs and projects are designed to inculcate in the Rotaractors a sense of Service Above Self following this year’s theme of Rotary Shares.
